Senior Technical Program Manager - Security / Vulnerability

Overview We are seeking a full-time Senior Technical Program Manager, Security at Garmin's U.S. headquarters in the Greater Kansas City area. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, planning, and execution of the vulnerability management program, ensuring our company meets our customers expectations while also achieving compliance with evolving standards across multiple regions. The ideal candidate will be a proactive communicator and strategic thinker, capable of balancing complex technical situational awareness with regulatory frameworks. Essential Functions Define, execute, and optimize Garmin's Vulnerability Management Program Independently own complex, multi-team programs with ambiguous requirements or dependencies Define and drive execution strategy across teams, functions, and timelinesResolve cross-organizational dependencies, risks, and delivery friction without direct authority Ensure program meets regulatory requirements and customer expectations Lead program activities that involve coordination with external partners or customers Communicate program status, risks, and dependencies to senior managers and cross-functional stakeholders Provide execution leadership and mentorship to Technical Program Managers working on contributing programs Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Management AND a minimum of 5 years of experience in technical program management, program management, product management, or equivalent experience in shipping software or cloud services Experience and/or knowledge of cybersecurity vulnerability management strategies in industry Proven ability to orchestrate work across multiple teams and disciplines Strong judgment in navigating ambiguity and tradeoffs Must possess clear, concise communication with various groups such as engineering and business leadership Must be detailed-oriented and possess the ability to prioritize, organize and multi-task in a flexible, fast-paced and challenging environment to effectively meet deadlines Demonstrated experiencein end-to-end delivery of software products and/or technology featuresfrominceptionto production release Desired Qualifications Experience and/or knowledge of industry regulations and standards (NIST, ISO, CIS, EU RED cybersecurity, EU CRA, etc) Previous experience developing engineering processes Previous experience in Technology Management, Partner Management, and/or Project Management Garmin International is an equal opportunity employer.
