Quality Engineer

Quality Engineer – Automotive Manufacturing Location: Grand Prairie, Texas Department: Quality Assurance / Manufacturing Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Engineer with experience in the automotive manufacturing sector. This role is essential in ensuring our products meet stringent automotive quality standards and meet customer expectations. The successful candidate will drive continuous improvement, support compliance with IATF 16949, and collaborate across departments to uphold our commitment to excellence. Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain quality systems in accordance with IATF 16949 and ISO 9001 Conduct PPAP submissions and manage APQP activities Perform root cause analysis and lead corrective/preventive actions using 8D methodology Monitor and analyze quality KPIs such as scrap rates, warranty claims, and customer complaints Support internal and external audits, including OEM and Tier 1 customer audits Collaborate with engineering and production teams to ensure process capability and product reliability Utilize statistical tools (SPC, MSA, DOE) to evaluate and improve manufacturing processes Train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and customer-specific requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Industrial, or Manufacturing Engineering 3+ years of quality engineering experience in the automotive industry Strong knowledge of automotive core tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, MSA, SPC Familiarity with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and customer-specific requirements (e.g., Ford, GM, Toyota) Proficient in quality software and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, Excel) Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and organizational skills CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) or similar certification is a plus Benefits Competitive salary and performance‑based incentives Comprehensive benefits package including health, dental, and retirement plans Opportunities for professional development and certificationi> A dynamic and innovative work environment focused on cutting‑edge automotive technologies #J-18808-Ljbffr Wellascent Technologies
