Quality Inspector

Quality InspectorProjects Inc. is seeking a Quality Inspector to support inspection activities within a precision aerospace manufacturing environment.This position is responsible for verifying product conformity through dimensional inspection, blueprint interpretation, and documentation review while ensuring compliance with customer, regulatory, and internal quality requirements.The successful candidate understands that inspection is more than measuring parts - it is protecting the customer, preventing escapes, and ensuring product integrity.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform first piece, in-process, and final inspections on aerospace components and assemblies.Interpret engineering drawings, specifications, GD&T requirements, and customer standards.Verify dimensional characteristics using precision measurement equipment.Complete inspection documentation accurately and thoroughly.Identify, document, and communicate non-conformance.Review manufacturing travelers, certifications, and supporting documentation for completeness and compliance.Support root cause investigations and corrective action activities when quality issues arise.Assist with containment activities related to nonconforming material.Maintain inspection records in accordance with company and customer requirements.Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.Required QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalent.2+ years of manufacturing inspection experience.Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.Experience using precision measurement equipment including:CalipersMicrometersHeight GagesBore GagesIndicatorsThread GagesPin GagesBasic understanding of GD&T.Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.Preferred QualificationsAerospace manufacturing experience.AS9100 experience.First Article Inspection (FAI) experience.Knowledge of inspection sampling plans.Experience using CMM-generated reports.Familiarity with ERP and quality management systems.Experience with customer-specific requirementsPhysical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk throughout the workday.Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.Ability to perform visual inspections and use precision measuring equipment for extended periods.Ability to work in a manufacturing environment.What Success Looks LikeSuccessful Inspectors at Projects Inc.:Follow evidence, not assumptions.Verify findings before escalating concerns.Communicate issues clearly and professionally.Understand the importance of measurement system integrity.Protect the customer from escapes.Remain objective under schedule and production pressure.Take pride in accuracy, consistency, and attention to detailWhy ProjectsAt Projects Inc., Quality Inspectors play a critical role in supporting aerospace programs where precision, accuracy, and customer confidence are essential.
