VP Of Information Technology (IT)

BAE Systems is hiring a VP of Information Technology (IT) to serve as the Platforms and Services (P&S) Segment VP of IT & Digital Officer (SIDO). The SIDO is a member of the IT and Segment leadership teams, reporting directly to the Chief Information and Digital Officer (CIDO), with dotted line reporting relationship to the P&S Segment Office of the President. The SIDO serves as a trusted advisor to the Segment President/deputy and CIDO, providing strategic recommendations and guidance on IT investments and digital transformation initiatives that drive business growth, operational efficiency, and competitive advantage. The role also serves as the strategic interface between Segment and Enterprise IT leadership teams, ensuring effective partnerships across the functions and program leadership as well as efficient, outcome-driven delivery of IT, cybersecurity, and compliance services and products. The SIDO represents the segment business needs and priorities in the IT strategic planning process and is responsible in advancing and implementing the enterprise-wide IT strategy locally within the segment. The SIDO proactively manages demand prioritization and drives value realization across major programs, shared services, and strategic initiatives.

This position will be based in McLean, VA or Falls Church, VA ideally. There may be consideration to be based out of P&S sites including, York, PA; Jacksonville, FL; Louisville, KY; Sterling Heights, MI; or Maple Grove, MN. This role will be a hybrid position where you will work onsite at least three days a week, on average, based on business needs. There may be up to 25% of travel, including domestic and international.

Compensation & Benefits

• This position is eligible for a comprehensive executive benefits and compensation package, including a competitive base salary, an annual performance-based bonus, and a long-term incentive plan (LTIP) inclusive of stock grants.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills

• Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
• Bachelor's Degree and 12 years work experience or equivalent experience
• Experience in Information Technology & Digital Strategy Development, driving digital transformation and innovation
• Experience in IT Services Management, including infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, data management, analytics, and AI
• Experience in Cybersecurity and IT Compliance, maintaining audit-readiness
• Business Acumen with ability to lead product, portfolio, and demand management, aligning segment and enterprise strategies
• Financial Acumen with ability to manage IT budgets, financial planning, and investments
• People Leader with the ability to develop talent and support succession planning
• Advanced conceptual thinking in complex and new situations
• Skilled executive communicator with strong presence to influence and shape strategies, outcomes, and complex Enterprise, Program/Line, of Business/Segment initiatives and direction
• Strong relationship management, collaboration, and influencing skills
• Ability to drive the adoption of enterprise-wide IT standards to ensure scalability, commonality, and cost-efficiency
