Coach - Assistant HS Soccer - Boys (Effective 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR)

Summary Promote sportsmanship and foster good character in student‑athletes. Provide for the safety and welfare of all participants. Supervise students in practice areas, locker rooms, buses, and at all times during the season. Exercise patience, tolerance, and diplomacy in relations with all players, parents, co‑workers, contest officials, and spectators. Interscholastic activities are an extension of the classroom and, as such, your actions, behavior, and interactions with our student‑athletes should be reflective of this. Minimum Requirements NFHS Fundamentals of Coaching certificate (at employee’s expense) – Fundamentals of Coaching Course NFHS Concussion certificate – Concussion in Sports Course ATC Student‑Athlete Health & Wellness certificate (must review PowerPoint and sign a document affirming review) Act on Facts Suicide Prevention Training OR NFHS Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention certificate – Student Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Course Current CPR with AED (online classes not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement) Current First Aid (online classes not accepted; EMT license supersedes this requirement) Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card Requirements Prior to Start Date Bloodborne pathogen training after hire by TUSD Risk Management Department Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization Additional Information Effective: 2026‑2027 School Year Location: Pueblo High School – Ajo & 12th Ave Area Season Dates: 11/02/26 to 02/20/27 Fall – August into November Winter – November into February Spring – February into May Stipend to be prorated for days missed in the sports season due to late starts or early terminations. This position is temporary and not eligible for district benefits.
