Job Description
- Record journal entries, allocations, and accruals accurately and timely.
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure transactions are properly classified.
- Review general ledger activity and prepare balance sheet reconciliations, including prepaid expenses, fixed assets, accounts receivable, and accrued liabilities.
- Process and reconcile intercompany transactions and invoices.
- Manage fixed asset schedules and calculate monthly depreciation.
- Perform monthly reconciliations of corporate credit card accounts.
- Prepare and submit multi-state sales and use tax filings.
- Analyze operating expenses and provide support during the monthly close process.
- Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and reduce close timelines.
- Support external audit requests and contribute to special projects and ad hoc analyses.

The Successful Applicant
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
- 4-6 years of progressive accounting experience, ideally within retail or multi-entity organizations.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and hands-on experience with general ledger accounting.
- Experience working with SAP or similar ERP systems.
- Knowledge of multi-state sales and use tax compliance and filings.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical skills and a proactive, ownership-driven mindset.
