• Summary:
  • We are seeking a dependable Production Cooler Lead to oversee food processing operations and help ensure production orders are completed efficiently and on time.
  • Lead and support Food Processors while helping with the preparation, packaging, and storage of fresh food products.
  • Ensure production teams follow all established food safety procedures, GMPs, sanitation requirements, and workplace safety standards.
  • Help maintain smooth production flow while monitoring product quality and proper food temperatures.
  • This is a hands-on leadership position requiring strong communication, critical thinking, and the ability to work effectively with a team.

• Responsibilities:
  • Oversee Food Processors and ensure orders are completed efficiently, accurately, and on time.
  • Work alongside Food Processors to cut, chop, slice, and dice vegetables by hand and using machinery when applicable.
  • Wash, clean, cut, prepare, wrap, package, and store raw food products according to established procedures.
  • Move raw food products to the assembly area and ensure products are prepared according to required processes.
  • Monitor proper food storage and product temperatures.
  • Maintain clean, sanitary, and organized work areas.
  • Promote a safe working environment and help prevent injuries, near misses, and other safety concerns.
  • Ensure team members follow GMPs, food safety policies, and workplace safety procedures.
  • Communicate production updates, concerns, and significant issues to management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

• Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous food production, food processing, manufacturing, or lead experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of GMPs (Good Manufacturing Practices) and food safety procedures.
  • Basic knowledge of production equipment and machinery.
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multi-department team.
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.; anything over 40 lbs. must be handled as a team.
  • Comfortable working in variable indoor temperatures, including cold environments around 32&degree;F.
