Data Center Cable Technician / Low Voltage Installer

New Albany, OH

$18-$21/hour + Overtime Opportunities

Full-Time | Contract-to-Hire

Monday-Saturday | 10-Hour Shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Pull and install Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, and fiber optic cabling
• Route and secure cabling throughout data center environments
• Rack, stack, and patch network equipment
• Terminate, label, and test copper and fiber cabling
• Install cable pathways, supports, and conduit
• Read and follow blueprints, floor plans, and project drawings
• Assist with telecommunications room buildouts
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site
• Support the installation of critical technology infrastructure

Required Qualifications

• Experience in construction, warehouse, manufacturing, low-voltage cabling, electrical work, or other labor-intensive environments
• Strong attendance and reliability
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to work as part of a team
• Ability to lift, carry, and move materials throughout the day
• Comfortable working on active construction sites
• Stable work history with demonstrated job tenure
• Ability to pass a BGC and drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of low-voltage or structured cabling experience
• Experience pulling Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, or fiber optic cable
• Data center experience
• Fiber installation experience
• Cable termination and testing experience
• OSHA 10 certification
• BICSI or Fiber certifications
• Telecommunications or electrical experience

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Albany, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $26.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
