Provides training and supervision for volunteers and maintain positive working relationships with them. Ensures accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions and interventions. Maintains an organized and clean work environment, including playroom, workspace, and storage areas. Other duties as assigned. Provides developmentally appropriate education for patients and their families related to medical procedures, diagnoses, pain management, grief, and bereavement. Uses play as a primary resource with patients and siblings to enhance coping, promote mastery and control, and encourage socialization. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Entry-level professional competency in child life related skills [Required] Ability to learn and advance clinical skills [Required] Ability to be flexible and adaptable to change [Required] Ability to work on multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities [Required] Ability to communicate with others in a clear and professional manner on the phone, in person, and in writing [Required] Education Bachelor's [Required] Field of Study In Child Life, Education, Recreation Therapy, Child Development, Psychology or related field Licenses and Certifications Child Life Specialist Certification (CCLS) [Required] Physical Requirements Physical Requirements - Pay Range $20.97 - $38.99 Background Screening Requirement (Florida Law) Certain positions are subject to Florida Level 2 background screening, including fingerprinting, as required by state law.
