Marketing & Advertising Specialist

Job Overview GENCOR is seeking a Marketing & Advertising Specialist to support the company’s advertising, brand development, social media, trade shows, and promotional initiatives. This is a hands‑on role for a creative and organized marketing professional who can develop content, coordinate campaigns, and help increase the visibility of our products and brand across print, digital, social media, video, and industry events. The ideal candidate has experience supporting marketing and advertising initiatives within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or equipment-related environment and is comfortable managing multiple projects from concept through completion. Responsibilities Partner with management to develop and execute advertising campaigns across print, digital, social media, and other channels. Develop creative content that showcases the company’s products, capabilities, expertise, and brand. Manage company social media accounts and create engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms. Develop and maintain a consistent brand identity across marketing materials, advertising, social media, and events. Create and coordinate promotional materials, including advertisements, graphics, presentations, videos, and other marketing content. Assist with planning, coordinating, and promoting major industry trade shows and sponsored events. Research and identify advertising, sponsorship, trade show, and promotional opportunities that increase brand awareness and market visibility. Coordinate with outside vendors, publications, media outlets, printers, and other marketing partners. Assist with media planning and media buying across print, broadcast, web, and social media channels. Coordinate photography and video projects, including capturing and organizing content for marketing purposes. Write, edit, and proofread marketing and advertising copy to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with company messaging. Manage multiple creative and marketing projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met. Track advertising and promotional activities and help evaluate their effectiveness. Provide general marketing and administrative support as needed. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in advertising, marketing, promotions, or related communications, preferably within a manufacturing, industrial, construction, or equipment-related company. Experience coordinating major trade shows, industry events, sponsorships, or other promotional events. Experience with media planning and media buying across print, digital, web, and/or broadcast channels. Demonstrated ability to develop creative concepts and marketing campaigns that build brand and product awareness. Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills. Experience creating content for social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, and LinkedIn. Photography and/or video production experience strongly preferred. Graphic design experience or relevant education is highly desirable. Strong project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with management and other departments. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop and Adobe InDesign. Experience with Adobe Illustrator, Canva, video editing software, or other creative tools is a plus.
