Join us.Job DescriptionAECOM is actively seeking Senior Roadway Design Engineers to join a dynamic and highly technical team of planners, engineers, and technicians in the Nashville area office. As a Senior Roadway Design Engineer, you will lead highway and roadway design projects for a variety of clients in public and private industries. You will also have the opportunity to be part of cutting-edge design projects that utilize the latest technologies for improving all modes of transportation. This is a Hybrid schedule with the opportunity to work remotely 2 days a week.Provide technical oversight/supportPlan and manage tasks and team membersCoordinate with other disciplinesInteract and coordinate regularly with clients and sub consultants in the various assignmentsDesign roadway geometricsDevelop intersection designsCreate conceptual development plansPrepare Maintenance of Traffic plansDevelop Right-of-way and Construction plansPerform drainage designDesign erosion and sedimentation control measuresConduct quality control reviews of design deliverablesMentor junior engineers and techniciansParticipate in project meetings and presentationsContribute to proposal development and cost estimationsStay current with industry standards and best practicesManage client relationships and support business development effortsOther related design tasks as requiredQualificationsMinimum Requirements:BS Civil Engineer or related field with 6 years of related experience or equivalent experience and/or educationUS Citizenship is required due to the nature of the projects Valid US Driver’s License required to visit project sites, clients, and other AECOM offices. As a condition of employment, selected candidate must pass a Motor Vehicle Records reviewPreferred Qualifications:Professional Engineer LicenseProject Management experience – personnel, budget, and client management10+ years of roadway design experienceProjects with TDOT, TN municipalities, or other state DOTs​Ability to work effectively in a team-based, collaborative environmentMicroStation/GeoPak and/or OpenRoads or similar design applicationsSuccessful candidates will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, good time management skills, a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a strong desire to learnAdditional InformationRelocation assistance is not available for this positionSponsorship for US employment authorization is not available now or in the future for this positionAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer comprehensive benefits to meet the diverse needs of our employees.
