We are looking for a dedicated Certified Medication Aide (CMA) to join our team at Robison Jewish Health Center. In this role, you'll work closely with our licensed nursing staff to provide safe medication administration, assist with daily care, and support residents in maintaining their independence and dignity.

What You'll Do

As a CMA, you'll play an important role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Your responsibilities will include:

• Medication Administration: Safely administer routine, prescribed non-injectable medications under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse.
• Compassionate Resident Care: Assist residents with daily activities, including feeding, toileting, grooming, hygiene, and other personal care needs.
• Restorative Care: Support residents in maintaining their mobility and independence through ambulation, range-of-motion exercises, and activities of daily living.
• Team Collaboration: Work alongside licensed nurses and Certified Nursing Assistants to provide coordinated, person-centered care.
• Resident Engagement: Build positive relationships with residents, families, and team members while promoting a welcoming and respectful environment.
• Safety & Quality: Follow established care plans, medication protocols, infection control procedures, and resident safety standards.

What We're Looking For

We're seeking someone who combines strong clinical skills with genuine compassion and a commitment to quality resident care.

Required qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved Nursing Assistant and Medication Aide program.
• Active Oregon Nursing Assistant certification and Medication Aide certification in good standing with the Oregon State Board of Nursing.
• Proof of successfully passing the Oregon State Board of Nursing Medication Aide examination.
• Current CPR or BLS certification.
• 13 years of similar experience.

Important Position Information

This position is based on campus at Robison Jewish Health Center in Portland, Oregon. Hours may vary based on scheduling needs.

The role involves regular walking, standing, hands-on resident care, and potential exposure to infectious illnesses or residents experiencing confusion or behavioral challenges.

Medication administration must remain within the authorized scope of the CMA role and under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. This position does not permit taking telephone orders or administering medications or feeding through enteral tubes.
