Learn more at Responsibilities This ICU Clinical Supervisor Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is full time at 36 hours per week on our ICU Unit. This position offers full benefits and a convenient night shift schedule. The role performs a dual function, clinical and managerial. It provides direct and indirect patient care in the clinical setting, conducts disciplinary actions, and participates in hiring and termination of staff. Communicates with physicians, Nurse Manager, and co-workers about changes in the patient\'s clinical condition including results of diagnostic studies and symptomatology. Responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment. Job Duties / Responsibilities Formulates a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs; involves the family in teaching as appropriate. Competent in the care of patients within the specialty area. Assesses and reassesses pain; utilizes appropriate pain management techniques; educates the patient and family regarding pain management. Revises the plan of care as indicated by the patient\'s response to treatment and evaluates the overall plan daily for effectiveness. Qualifications Current NV State Registered Nurse Licensure. A minimum of 3 years\' nursing experience. Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification as appropriate for department specific. Specialty Certification preferred. Bachelor\'s in Nursing preferred or enrolled in an accredited program within one year of employment or transfer into supervisor role.
