Job Title: Assembly Operator I
Location: Fairview, NC
Schedule: 1st Shift (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
Pay Rate: $17.61 per hour

 

About Us:
Our Client is a global leader in manufacturing relays and switches for the aerospace industry. We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Assembly Operator I to join the team at their Fairview, NC facility.

Position Overview:
The Assembly Operator I is responsible for assembling components for relays and switches, ensuring products meet our high-quality standards. This role involves the use of microscopes, small hand tools, fixtures, and interpreting work instructions. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong teamwork skills, a willingness to learn, and exceptional attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assemble components using hand tools, fixtures, and microscopes as needed.
• Inspect completed work against quality standards and work instructions.
• Perform product testing, including pull tests specific to certain operations.
• Measure components using calipers, gauges, or other measuring devices as required.
• Accurately complete operational paperwork to ensure product traceability.
• Troubleshoot minor equipment issues and perform basic repairs if necessary.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area.
• Adhere to TE Company's policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
• Read and interpret product drawings and work instructions.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support production needs.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Basic computer and communication skills required.
• Experience with measuring devices (calipers, gauges, etc.) preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints is a plus.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Availability to work overtime as needed to meet production goals.
• Proficiency in understanding and following written instructions in English.

Additional Information:
This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). Candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee.
