To learn more about the Colas USA Family of Companies, please visit DescriptionMission: Reeves Construction Company is currently seeking an individual for the position of Bridge Carpenter based out of Newberry, SC responsible for assisting bridge carpenters with the construction duties, performing construction tasks as needed, and ensuring the completion of the project timely and efficiently.Main Responsibilities:Shoveling dirt, sand, asphalt or concrete using shovelsCutting or trimming trees and vegetation using ditch blades, sling blades, chain saws or power weed trimmersDriving stakes or breaking concrete using sledge hammers, operating hand-driven compaction devicesHandles, stacks, and move formwork and materialsKeep jobsite clean and orderly by cleaning and stacking materials not in usePerform shoveling, raking, and demolition work as requiredAssist others during concrete placements, traffic control, and prefabrication tasksAble to work and assist others to work in a safe manner within the guidelines of the company's policiesAny other task assigned by supervisorQualifications:1-2 years of experience working in bridge construction or a similar fieldDriving License (preferred)Physical Demands:Use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or walk; talk or hear; and taste or smellStand and walkLift and/or move up to 60 poundsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focusExcellent or corrected by audio device hearingWork Environment:Exposed to moving mechanical parts, outside weather conditions, and vibrationFrequently exposed to fumes or airborne particlesOccasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; high, precarious places, and toxic or caustic chemicalsNoise level in the work environment is usually very loudBenefits and Compensation:Competitive pay & comprehensive benefits include paid holidays, vacation, life insurance, accidental death & dismemberment insurance, group health plan options (incl. medical, dental & vision, HSA, FSA), short term disability benefits & 401(k)/401(k) Roth w/company matchThis Organization Participates in E-VerifyDrug-Free WorkplaceColas Inc. and its subsidiaries are an Equal Opportunity Employer
