RN - Labor and Delivery

Seeking an experienced RN for Labor and Delivery. The facility is a Level IV Trauma Center with a robust Learning and Development program. It has a Level III NICU and specializes in high-risk pregnancies. Average of 280 deliveries per month. Patient types include high-risk mothers and newborns. Experience with cervical exams for labor progression and OB triage is essential. The RN will assist with circulating during vaginal deliveries and handling surgical recovery. Candidates must be knowledgeable in managing conditions such as pre-eclampsia and massive transfusions. Patient ratios are 1:1-2 for active labor and 1:3 for antepartum. The role will involve care for high-risk newborns and mothers post-delivery. Support on the unit includes a charge nurse, clinical resource nurse, and onsite OB anesthesia 24/7. Charting will be completed using EPIC and fetal monitoring equipment. Travelers may be required to float to other units as needed. Scheduling will require flexibility with no set schedules, including availability on weekends and holidays. This position offers a great opportunity for specialized nursing in a dynamic environment.
