Make a lasting impact supporting diverse learners as a Special Education Teacher in a contract position near Morristown, AZ. This full-time opportunity offers up to 40 hours per week, where you’ll play a key role in helping students grow and succeed in a supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver district-approved curriculum and utilize approved resources to foster student learning
• Develop and complete Individual Education Plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needs
• Prepare and implement differentiated lesson plans and instructional materials for whole class, small groups, and individual students
• Create engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson experiences
• Set and uphold consistent standards for student behavior to promote a productive learning atmosphere
• Assess and document academic progress; maintain organized records and gradebooks
• Identify specific student needs, make appropriate referrals, and apply effective strategies according to IEPs
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation to comply with all district and state guidelines
• Supervise, guide, and collaborate with classroom aides, volunteers, and parents in instructional activities and during field trips
• Design and maintain engaging classroom spaces that showcase student achievement and support a motivating learning environment

Required Qualifications:

• Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification
• Experience in developing and implementing IEPs
• Strong classroom management and collaborative skills
• Ability to create individualized learning plans that address a variety of academic and behavioral needs
• Familiarity with record-keeping and compliance requirements in educational settings
