Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona Special Education Teacher Certification required
• Strong understanding of developing and implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Experience adapting and delivering curriculum to students with diverse learning needs
• Excellent classroom management skills and ability to foster an effective learning atmosphere
• Competence in record keeping, academic assessment, and use of educational technology
• Experience collaborating with aides, parents, and volunteers is a plus

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach using approved curriculum and resources tailored to student needs
• Develop and deliver individualized and small-group instruction
• Translate lesson plans into engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Establish and maintain behavioral standards to support student growth
• Evaluate academic progress and maintain accurate, compliant records
• Identify individual needs, recommend interventions, and implement IEP strategies
• Plan and coordinate classroom activities with support staff and parents
• Curate a stimulating classroom environment showcasing student work and learning
