Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and current certification in Special Education (state requirements must be met)
• Experience teaching in a self-contained classroom preferred
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement IEPs
• Strong collaboration skills for working closely with support staff, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
• Dedication to creating an inclusive, positive, and structured learning environment
• Excellent communication, organization, and classroom management skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and adapt curriculum to meet the unique needs of each student
• Deliver engaging instruction to a self-contained caseload of 10-20 students
• Monitor progress, collect data, and report on student achievements and challenges
• Collaborate with educational support staff and families to foster a cohesive support system
• Maintain all necessary documentation and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a collegial team
