Overview Medical Staff Coordinator – Medical Staff Affairs Work location: 81105 Central Expressway North Allen, TX 75013 Work hours: Full Time; Days; Monday-Friday; 8a-5p; 40 hrs/week Medical Affairs Department Highlights The Medical Staff Coordinator is assigned to the Medical Staff Affairs department and will provide support to the Director and assist the medical staff. The Medical Staff Coordinator interacts in a professional, respectful manner with internal and external customers. Team-oriented work environment Here’s What You Need High School Diploma or equivalent required Associate Degree or higher preferred Two years medical staff or credentialing experience required. Three or more years of medical staff or credentialing experience is preferred. Experience in a hospital setting is highly preferred. Experience in supporting the Medical Executive leadership Committee and the Credentials Committee Meeting. What You Will Do Monitor the reappointment and elevation processes from initiation to completion according to established policies and procedures. Ensure timely completion of reappointment and elevation application process, renewing of privileges, and review by supervisor. Development of credentialing criteria for new privileges, processing requests for additional privileges, responding to both internal and external customers requiring reports or information, and special projects. Examine, research, and gather necessary information to process credentialing applications. Enter or post requested privileges in database. Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date computerized database and credentials files for all appointees as assigned. Work closely with group providers to obtain documents for enrollment. Serves as a resource for hospital staff, physicians and their office staff in relation to Medical Staff activities.
