Come Join Our Sturgis Team Keep Mi Smile in Sturgis is looking for a compassionate and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. Our team focuses on exceptional care to our patients and helping them keep their teeth and gums healthy for life. Ideal candidate would be available 3 - 5 days a week. We are open Monday - Friday with great hours, and we can be flexible with the days you wish to work. Our goal is to have committed team members who can deliver great care to our patients, and enjoy a work/life balance that make working for Keep Mi Smile an easy choice! - Pay: $38.00 - $42.00
- Valid state dental hygiene license
- CPR certification
- Graduation from a accredited dental hygiene program
- Knowledge of periodontal/soft tissue management systems and procedures
- Proficiency in medical records and documentation
- Familiarity with medical imaging techniques
- Strong understanding of oral anatomy and dental terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Perform thorough dental cleanings, including scaling, root planing, and polishing
- Take dental x-rays
- Conduct oral cancer screening
- Administer local anesthesia as directed by the Dentist
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques and provide personalized oral care instructions
- Assist the dentist during procedures by handing instruments, maintaining a sterile field, and suctioning
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records using dental software systems (Curve)
- Follow strict infection control protocols and maintain aseptic technique throughout all procedures
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure efficient patient flow and exceptional patient care
