Documentation Control Specialist

The Document Control Support is responsible for managing and maintaining documents within the engineering team to ensure accuracy, quality, and integrity. General Responsibilities Maintains and complies with policies, regulations and procedures for document control, engineering changes and company records. Leads with the preparation and archiving of all engineering records that must be kept for proper preservation outside and inside the plant. Manages the document control database, and engineering records. Ensures that documents comply with legal, regulatory, and company requirements. Develops and implements document control procedures and best practices. Maintains records of document distribution, usage, and revisions. Generates reports on document control activities, such as the status of documents and compliance with control processes. Identifies opportunities to improve document management systems and processes. Maintain controlled engineering, manufacturing, quality, and customer documentation in accordance with AS9100 and internal configuration management procedures. Create, maintain, and update product structures, Engineering Bills of Material (BOMs), and related product data within ERP and PLM systems. Route changes through required approval workflows and track completion status. Support audits by providing documentation records and evidence of document control compliance. Assist in developing and improving document control processes, workflows, and system utilization.
