Affirmative Civil Enforcement (ACE) Investigator Employment Type: Full Time, Mid-Level Department: Legal CGS is seeking an ACE Investigator to join our team supporting the legal mission of a large federal agency in Hammond, IN. This position will allow candidates to demonstrate expertise in providing litigation support tasks like legal research, legal drafting, and administrative support to multiple attorneys.

- Independently or with the ACE Coordinator, meets semi-annually with designated agency personnel for the purpose of generating fraud investigations.
- Conducts investigations to determine the merits and collection likelihood with respect to any matter or case assigned by the ACE Coordinator.
- Performs a variety of ancillary investigations-related services in direct support of any assigned fraud investigation.
- Utilizes electronic databases (e.g., CLEAR/Accurint, LexisNexis, PACER, SAM.gov, USASpending.gov) to identify and locate witnesses and subjects, verify corporate structure and ownership, and develop documentary evidence to support investigations.
- Prepares interim and final reports on progress of investigations suitable for use by AUSAs in intervention, declination, settlement, and litigation decisions.
- Participates in witness interviews jointly with AUSAs or federal agents/investigators and prepares memoranda of interview.
- Reviews and analyzes voluminous documentary and electronic records, including claims data, financial records, medical records, and email productions.
- Performs damages, loss, and overpayment calculations with factual support.
- Coordinates with federal investigative agencies (e.g., HHS-OIG, FBI, DCIS, DEA) and agency program personnel.
- 5+ years of experience working on fraud investigations or similar experience.
- Ability to pass a background check in order to obtain a security clearance.
- Ability work onsite full time.
- Must be a United States Citizen
