Direct Support Professional (DSP) Join our team at Shema Kolainu-Hear Our Voices , a premier provider of specialized education and therapy services for children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related developmental disabilities. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you will play a vital role in supporting our students in achieving their full potential for independence, productivity, and inclusion in the community. About the Role As a DSP, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to provide direct support to our students, including: Schedule: 3.5 hours (community habilitation services) from Monday‑Thursday, any time of the day, preferably around 12pm, Friday and Saturday 3 hours a day (respite services) anytime of day. Daily Living Skills: Assisting with personal care, meal planning, and other daily living activities to promote independence and self‑advocacy. Behavioral Supports: Implementing behavioral interventions and strategies to reduce challenging behaviors and promote positive behaviors. Therapy Assistance: Providing support to our therapists in delivering ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy services. Communication: Facilitating communication between staff, students, and families to ensure a comprehensive understanding of each student's needs and goals. Responsibilities Provide direct support to students with autism, including daily living skills, behavioral supports, and therapy assistance. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral intervention plans (BIPs). Communicate effectively with staff members, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless transitions and support. Maintain accurate records and documentation of student progress and interventions.
