Water/Wastewater Engineer

Water/Wastewater Engineer HDR is seeking a Water/Wastewater Engineer to join our growing Arkansas team. You will design, manage, and oversee mid‑size water and wastewater projects, ensuring compliance, quality, and client satisfaction. Responsibilities Plan, direct, and monitor technical aspects of mid‑size pump station and pipeline design projects. Perform complex assignments, exercising judgment in evaluation, selection, and modification of standard engineering techniques and procedures. Make decisions on significant design and engineering procedures as needed. Engage client relationships, relaying HDR’s water and wastewater credentials. Act as technical specialist or project manager on mid‑size projects. Coordinate staffing and workload across project development to meet schedule. Supervise a small staff of professionals and technicians. Implement QA/QC procedures and conduct training for personnel. Participate in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance. Perform other duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications MS in Civil Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of experience designing plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent. Experience designing plans and specifications for water and wastewater projects. Professional engineering license (PE or P.Eng) recognized in the location of the position. Self‑motivated, able to work independently and with a project team.
