Physical Therapist AssistantAs a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will work under the supervision of a registered Physical Therapist to provide physical therapy services following a patient plan of care. Your role will be crucial in assisting patients to relieve pain, restore function, and enhance their overall performance through various therapeutic techniques.This position involves a day shift and is structured as a 13-week contract.Responsibilities include administering treatment to patients as prescribed by a physician after evaluation by a registered Physical Therapist, implementing treatment plans developed collaboratively with the registered Physical Therapist to promote recovery and functional independence, facilitating both active and passive exercises, muscle re-education, and functional training, utilizing therapeutic equipment such as ultra-violet and infrared lamps, diathermy, and ultrasound machines, monitoring, documenting, and reporting changes in patient conditions and responses to treatment to the supervising Physical Therapist, educating patients and their caregivers in self-care techniques and therapeutic activities, and completing required clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner per agency standards.Qualifications include holding a valid license as a Physical Therapist Assistant in Vermont and New Hampshire or possessing a compact license, graduating from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program, and having one year of experience in a home health care setting preferred but not mandatory.At ARMStaffing, we take care of our employees!
