Senior Lease Accountant

Century Group is partnering with a client that is seeking a Senior Lease Accountant to join their team. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and location. Expected starting base salary of $90,000 to $110,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and reconcile rent-related balance sheet accounts, including prepaid rent, lease liabilities, and ROU assets.
• Review general ledger activity for assigned accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Ensure compliance with lease accounting standards and internal financial policies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address lease-related reporting and accounting needs.
• Investigate and resolve discrepancies in rent payments and lease accounting entries.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 4+ years of experience in lease administration or property accounting.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, including accruals and prepaid expenses.
• Familiarity with ASC 842 lease accounting standards is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple lease-related accounts.
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications:

• A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA certification or Big Four experience is a plus but not mandatory.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Experience in preparing reconciliations and reviewing financial statements.
