Careerscape is supporting a client opening for a Remote Entry-Level Onboarding Specialist. This role focuses on supporting new hire onboarding, employee setup, and ensuring a smooth and professional onboarding experience for new team members.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is organized, detail-oriented, and interested in building a career in Human Resources, People Operations, or Employee Experience.
The Onboarding Specialist will work closely with HR teams, hiring managers, and new employees to coordinate onboarding processes, documentation, and communication.
This role is ideal for candidates interested in onboarding, HR coordination, recruiting support, or people operations.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate new hire onboarding processes from offer acceptance through first weeks
- Schedule onboarding sessions, training, and orientation meetings
- Prepare and manage onboarding documentation and employee records
- Communicate with new hires to ensure a smooth onboarding experience
- Track onboarding progress, tasks, and completion of required steps
- Support new hire system setup, access, and internal coordination
- Maintain accurate records in HR systems and onboarding trackers
- Assist with background checks, employment verification, and compliance tasks
- Respond to new hire questions or route them appropriately
- Collaborate with HR, IT, and hiring managers for onboarding readiness
- Help improve onboarding processes and employee experience
- Ensure confidentiality and compliance with company policies
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred (HR, business, or related field)
- 0–2 years of experience in HR, admin, customer service, or support roles
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, Google Workspace)
- Ability to handle confidential information professionally
- Comfortable working independently in a remote environment
