The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care across multiple facilities within the designated zone. Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care in a variety of specialized areas, including Cardiac, Neuro, Oncology, and more. Comfortably titrate and manage cardiac drips, insulin, Ativan, and Heparin as required. Float within the assigned zone, which spans a 60-mile radius from the city center. Participate in a comprehensive orientation program, ensuring readiness to start from day one. Work collaboratively with the clinical team to manage patient care efficiently. Utilize the EPIC charting system effectively to document patient interactions and care. Be flexible with scheduling, filling gaps as needed while adhering to time-off requests submitted prior to starting the assignment. Requirements Must possess valid BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications. Minimum of 2 years of experience in a PCU/IMC setting. Prior neuro experience and familiarity with Epic are preferred. Ability to work with adults and geriatric populations in various medical specialties. Work Details The nurse will be scheduled with flexibility in mind, typically working 7 am to 7 pm shifts. Weekend shifts are required as part of the schedule, with a total of 6-9 weekend shifts expected over a six-week period. Holiday rotations may also be necessary. Location This position involves floating across multiple healthcare facilities located in Colorado Springs, CO, with an emphasis on providing care within the designated region. Additional Information Nurses are expected to adhere to departmental policies regarding floating, patient assignment, and teamwork to ensure a collaborative and efficient work environment.
