CNA - LTC


Job Details:


• 13-week contract with an ASAP start date
• 12-hour variable shifts covering both days and nights
• Guaranteed 36 hours per week, except during holidays when the unit is closed
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Float to all inpatient units as needed, with potential to float to Stevens Point, Plover, and Divine Savior locations
• May be placed on low census call; call back minimum is 2 hours
• Patient ratio of 1:10 to 1:15 on the Medical-Surgical unit
• Assist patients with activities of daily living, full set vitals, POC blood glucose monitoring, and Foley care
• Perform bladder scans, remove PIVs, empty ostomy pouches, and provide 1:1 sitter care
• Operate all lift equipment, perform postmortem care, and complete occupied bed changes
• Support behavioral health and withdrawal patients, and apply and use gait belts
• Assist with ambulation, drains, and walkers; manage strict intake and output for drains and chest tubes
• Attach telemetry leads and don/doff PPE appropriately
• Treat patients with respiratory illnesses, stroke, neurological conditions, gastrointestinal illness, diabetic management, renal failure, sepsis, wound care, and acute alcohol withdrawal
• Epic charting experience required
• Minimum 1 year of short-term acute care inpatient experience required
• High school diploma, GED, or official transcripts required
• Required certifications: Wisconsin CNA license and AHA or ARC BLS
• Must be able to work independently, manage tasks efficiently, and collaborate with team and ancillary staff
• Positive attitude and flexibility with shift changes required

The facility utilizes Epic for charting and maintains high standards of patient care across diverse medical conditions and patient populations.
