Role Description Title: 1824 Principal Administrative Analyst I (Real Estate Analyst) Location: 525 Golden Gate Ave., San Francisco, CA Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM The Real Estate Services Division (RES) maximizes SFPUC revenue by managing real property rentals, acquisitions, and disposals. The Real Estate Analyst assists in complex lease, acquisition, and sale transactions, and provides analysis, drafting, and negotiation support to fulfill institutional goals. Essential Skills and Duties Negotiate and draft complex deeds, purchase and sale agreements, easements, licenses, and memorandum of agreements. Coordinate and advance the review of projects with internal and external stakeholders. Prepare real‑estate reports, graphics, and spreadsheets for the department, Commission, and Board of Supervisors. Create maps using GIS platforms. Make recommendations on land‑related environmental, economic, and legal issues, including CADRE and local ordinances. Review projects for compliance with SFPUC policies and standards. Act as liaison with regulatory and advisory bodies and resolve land‑use and environmental issues. Perform other job‑related duties as required. Nature of Work The candidate must possess a valid California driver’s license and may be required to drive to various work sites, including remote or mountainous locations. Qualifications Possession of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and five (5) years of full‑time professional‑level analytical experience in budgeting, contracts, grants, policy, or related fields. Alternative qualifications: Graduate degree (master’s or higher) with major coursework in public administration, business administration, contract law, urban studies, economics, or related fields offers one (1) year substituted for experience. Up to two (2) additional years of experience may substitute for the required degree on a year‑for‑year basis. Desired Qualifications Superb written and oral communication skills. Excellent attention to detail. Project management skills. Experience drafting and negotiating complex real‑estate agreements. Experience managing large data sets. Experience analyzing deeds, maps, and other title instruments. Geographic Information Systems experience. Experience presenting to public officials and community organizations.
