Senior Accountant

Our client is an organization in the Mequon area looking for a Senior Accountant. This company is looking for someone with 5+ years of accounting experience, strong ability to problem solve and work independently. This position is hybrid after training is complete.

The salary range for this role is $75k-105k.

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

• Lead and execute the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
• Own general ledger accounting responsibilities
• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements
• Maintain and analyze general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies and variances
• Assist with preparation of monthly financial reporting packages
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve financial processes and reporting
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies
• Assist with external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and documentation
• Evaluate and strengthen internal controls
• Mentor and support junior accounting staff as needed
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation

The Senior Accountant will possess the following:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or closely related field
• 5+ years of accounting experience
• Payroll experience preferred
• Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines and adapt as needed.
• Strong attention to detail and highly organized
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
