POSITION SUMMARY: The HR Generalist provides hands-on support to employees, supervisors, managers, and the HR Manager across a variety of HR functions. This position serves as a visible and approachable HR resource and supports employee relations, attendance and leave administration, onboarding, benefits, performance management, training, employee engagement, HRIS administration, compliance, and HR projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Serve as a resource to employees and managers regarding HR policies, procedures, workplace concerns, and employee relations matters. Assist with employee investigations, corrective actions, coaching, performance management, and documentation. Support new hire onboarding, orientation, I-9 completion, personnel files, and employee status changes. Assist with attendance administration and tracking of FMLA, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, ADA accommodations, and other leaves. Assist employees with benefits questions, enrollment, and annual open enrollment. Maintain accurate employee information, personnel records, and HRIS data. Support the annual performance review process and maintain performance documentation. Coordinate and track employee and management training programs. Support employee engagement, recognition programs, appreciation events, employee communications, and HR initiatives. Assist with HR audits, compliance requirements, policies, procedures, and special projects. Support employee separation processes, including documentation, company property returns, and exit interviews. Maintain confidentiality of employee and medical information. Partner with the HR Manager and leadership team to improve HR processes and employee experience. Perform other HR-related duties as assigned. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered. 3+ years of HR experience preferred, ideally in a manufacturing or industrial environment. Working knowledge of employee relations, attendance, leave administration, benefits, performance management, and HR compliance. Experience with HRIS systems; Paycom experience preferred. Strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment. Ability to work effectively with employees and leaders at all levels. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
