Job Description\n Allied Support for Kids is seeking a travel School Physical Therapist for a travel job in Houston, Texas.Job Description & Requirements\n \n Specialty: Physical Therapist\n Discipline: Therapy\n Start Date: ASAP\n Duration: 35 weeks\n 5 hours per week\n Shift: 8 hours\n Employment Type: Travel\n \n \n Job Summary (List Format):\n \n \n - Position: Part-time School-Based Physical Therapist (3 days/week, 22.5 hours/week, through May 2027)\n \n - Conduct physical therapy evaluations and assessments for students referred for services.\n \n - Develop and implement therapy goals aligned with students’ Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).\n \n - Provide direct and consultative physical therapy services to students in a school setting.\n \n - Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions and outcomes.\n \n - Participate in ARD/IEP meetings to contribute to goal development and report on student progress.\n \n - Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including teachers, administrators, occupational and speech therapists, and families.\n \n - Recommend adaptive equipment and mobility supports to enhance student participation and independence.\n \n - Train school staff on safe transfers, mobility, positioning, and the use of adaptive equipment.\n \n - Ensure compliance with federal, state, and district special education laws and procedures.\n \n - Support student inclusion in classroom, school, and extracurricular activities.\n \n - Typical duties include evaluating motor development, creating therapy plans, consulting on classroom accessibility, documenting services, and recommending appropriate equipment.\n \n - Qualifications: Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physical Therapy, Texas PT license, preferred experience in pediatric or educational settings, and strong communication and organizational skills.\n \n - Preferred skills: Pediatric therapy experience, knowledge of adaptive equipment and assistive technology, teamwork, assessment, progress-monitoring, and family engagement abilities.\n \n Allied Support for Kids Job ID #JPC -1630698.
