Student Server PRN

Presbyterian Village North is immediately hiring Servers for their Summer Student Program! The shift is PRN (as needed) for Days, Weekends and Evenings. Pay: $16.00/hour 16 - 20 hours per 2 week pay period required. Earn money during your school break! Learn to work in the food service industry with our popular summer program! Essential Duties Provide food and beverage service in dining room Serve residents and guests in A la Carte, full-service atmosphere with attention to detail and hospitality Models a service and solutions-oriented attitude towards others, takes ownership in solving problems and takes the initiative to make things better Friendly and courteous to residents, patients and co-workers Ensure resident/patient, visitor, self and co-worker safety by remaining aware of and reporting any new or existing safety hazards Maintain good attendance record; arrive to work timely and conform to scheduled work hours Wear appropriate and assigned protective gear, i.e. apron, hair net, etc. Ability to follow opening and closing procedures including workstations Clean and/or pull dishes from dish room to dining area Complete daily cleaning according to schedule or Supervisor’s instructionsAssists with any special events as assigned Reset tables to specifications with clean pressed linen Fold and sort silverware and napkins for dining room Set-up hot buffet/salad bar/desserts/beverages/service side stations and take temperatures of food before service, clean appropriately at the end of service Assumes other responsibilities as assigned Minimum Qualifications Current High School or College students 6 months - 1 year in A la Carte & Food Service Industry experience preferred, not required Experience in customer service preferred, not required Food Handlers certification will be required before starting Ability to communicate verbally and in writing in English Ability to be patient and gracious with residents Ability to work Saturdays and Sundays Additional Information Student Summer Servers with flexible hours - 16-20 hours/pay period minimum required PRN status - hours not guaranteed - Great Community - Will need to obtain a Food Handlers Certification.
