LVN Licensed Vocational Nurse

Full Time - 30446General Purpose:The LVN Staff Nurse provides clinical support to healthcare providers and patients, ensuring quality care and efficient patient flow within the medical clinic.Key ResponsibilitiesEscort patients to exam rooms and obtain/document vital signs, height, and weight.Collect and process laboratory specimens according to established protocols.Perform diagnostic tests and administer immunizations and medications as ordered.Assist providers with clinical messages, pharmacy communications, patient education, and care plans.Initiate and update care plans and Advanced Directives in the EHR according to PCMH protocols.Interpret PPD skin tests and document results.Maintain accurate and timely EHR documentation and daily worklists.Clean, sterilize, and maintain medical instruments and equipment.Perform laboratory equipment control testing.Prepare and stock exam rooms.Participate in staff meetings, in-service training, CQI, and quality care activities.Maintain patient confidentiality and provide respectful, professional care.Flexibility to work at other Ampla Health locations as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications & RequirementsValid California LVN or RN license required.Current CPR certification required.One year of acute care experience preferred.Familiarity with primary care outpatient procedures preferred.Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.Ability to work effectively as part of a healthcare team.Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient health information.Knowledge of PCMH and healthcare clinic policies, procedures, and protocols preferred.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 40 pounds and push up to 100 pounds on wheels.Ability to remain on feet for the majority of the workday.Ability to bend, squat, kneel, reach, stoop, twist, and turn.Adequate vision, hearing, and manual dexterity to perform clinical duties.May be exposed to Aerosol Transmitted Diseases (ATD) and Blood Borne Pathogens (BBP). #J-18808-Ljbffr
