Inside Sales Representative (Chicago)

We are looking for an ambitious, drive-oriented Inbound Sales Representative (ISR) to join our Sales team. In this role, you will own a book of business, drive full-cycle sales deals, and directly impact revenue growth. You will partner closely with Enterprise Account Executives on key accounts and operate at the intersection of AI-powered tooling, a world-class product, and a transformed go-to-market strategy.

This role is based in our Chicago office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you’ll achieve

• Own and close inbound and transactional opportunities within your assigned book of business, running the full sales cycle with speed and precision.
• Build and drive new pipeline through targeted outbound plays in new logo accounts and large existing footprints, partnering closely with Enterprise and Emerging Enterprise AEs.
• Shadow AEs on larger strategic transactions to accelerate your development toward a full AE closing role.
• Fast follow transactions in your book — direct customers to the best onboarding resources and set the stage for future expansion and up-tiering.
• Monitor and work inbound opportunities across your AE-mapped book to ensure timely coverage — routing appropriately between yourself and the AE based on deal size and complexity.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to prioritize your pipeline, surface buying signals, and move faster on the deals that matter while experimenting with new plays and revenue motions that scale across Asana's global Scale organization.
• Monitor and drive success across key metrics including pipeline volume, deal velocity, average deal size, and win rate to continuously refine your approach.
• Maintain high standards of pipeline hygiene across managed opportunities and forecast with a high degree of precision.

About you

• Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
• 2+ years of experience in Sales or Outbound Sales Development with a strong track record of hitting or exceeding targets.
• Demonstrated experience up-selling, cross-selling, and hunting for net-new pipeline.
• Full-cycle closing exposure or a strong appetite to close, with a clear vision of developing into a future AE.
• Impeccable customer-facing skills with exceptional communication, empathy, and integrity.
• Ability to build and follow repeatable processes that support a high volume of concurrent customer interactions.
• Proficient with modern sales tech stacks; familiarity with Salesforce, Outreach, ZoomInfo, or similar platforms preferred.
• Growth-oriented and adaptable — you bring a strategic mindset and genuine appetite for coaching and development, thriving in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where you can find creative paths forward.

We believe that compensation should be reflective of the value you create relative to the market value of your role. To ensure pay is fair and not impacted by biases, we're committed to looking at market value which is why we check ourselves and conduct a yearly pay equity audit.

For this role, the On-Target Earnings (OTE) range is $69,000 - $77,000 (based on the terms of the Sales Incentive Plan and level). These ranges are a guideline; actual base salary and OTE may vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process, and the ranges for this role may be modified.
