Accounting Manager – Professional Services / Law Firm

Compensation: $110K–$120K | Discretionary Bonus

Schedule: Full-Time | On-Site

We are partnering with a growing law firm seeking a hands-on Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations, lead a team of five, and improve processes and efficiencies. Reporting directly to the CFO, this position offers the opportunity to strengthen accounting infrastructure and support continued growth.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including billing, AP, general ledger, reconciliations, and month-end close.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a team of five accounting and billing professionals.
• Streamline accounting processes, improve workflows, and establish internal controls.
• Oversee high-volume billing and transactional accounting activities.
• Improve reporting accuracy, operational efficiency, and accountability.
• Partner with the CFO on financial reporting, analysis, and process improvements.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
• Accounting experience with supervisory or management responsibilities.
• Strong transactional accounting, general ledger, billing, and month-end close experience.
• Law firm or professional services industry experience strongly preferred.
• Experience implementing process improvements and developing accounting teams.
• Background in a growing, entrepreneurial, or small-to-midsize organization preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on, proactive leadership style with the ability to execute and delegate effectively.
