Accountant PositionWe are looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting/Finance team. The Accountant is part of the finance team and should be organized, detail-oriented, resourceful and motivated individual. This position requires experience in the areas of accounts payable, data entry, and problem-solving. Primary responsibilities include entering high volume vendor payments, applying payments to the appropriate program and accounts, and resolving errors as they arise.The Accountant will report to the Accounting Supervisor and work closely with a team of accountants. The Accountant is required to maintain a collaborative working relationship with BC personnel. Ensures timely financial obligations by reviewing payments and approvals.Position ResponsibilitiesProcess A/P including checks, ACH and wires in a timely and accurate manner, ensuring invoices have proper approvals, correct calculations and match printed checksAddress vendor inquiries in a timely, positive and collaborative mannerReconcile vendor statements, investigating and correcting any discrepanciesSet up new vendors and maintain vendor files to make sure information is complete and accurate, including obtaining W-9 documentsVerify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information from internal departments, vendors and customersProcess daily check run, urgent checksProcess Monthly Rent RollDrive to drop off checks at USPS (daily) and Fed-Ex (alternates with team bi-monthly)Post month end accruals, bank reconciliationsAssist with year-end audit1099 PreparationDaily Salesforce verificationOther duties as assigned by the Accounting Supervisor
