Registered Dietitian (RD)- Contract 4 HRS / WK

Description DiningRD is actively seeking a Registered Dietitian for an Assisted Living Community. The consultant will work 4 hours per week, visiting the site one time per month, with the remaining hours performed remotely. Responsibilities include completing food safety and sanitation audits, meal/dining observation audits, and providing nutrition referrals for high-risk residents. A Day in the Life of a Registered Dietitian (RD) As a long‑term care consulting Registered Dietitian, you will improve seniors’ lives by ensuring meals meet high nutritional standards. You will work closely with the clinical team to monitor residents’ nutritional needs, provide nutrition education, collaborate on an MDS, and formulate assessments with input from dining managers. You will guide all dining services, including meal rounds and sanitation best practices, and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. In addition, you will train and advise dining managers and staff, assist with policy development, and monitor the implementation of effective nutritional care systems. Qualifications Commission on dietetic registration (CDR) credentials Licensed (if required by State) Two years of consulting experience is preferred but not required. Experience in Long‑Term Care is preferred. Candidates should be able to prioritize tasks, possess solid interpersonal and communication skills, represent DiningRD professionally, and enjoy coaching and mentoring others. Work Schedule Flexible Monday‑Friday schedule with a few on‑site requirements.
