Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Infusion/Oncology

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Infusion Center, providing essential care to patients with various medical conditions. This position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with 8-hour shifts (07:30 AM - 04:00 PM), and there is the flexibility to accommodate a 4-day work week if preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Administer intravenous (IV) and biologic therapies to patients with conditions such as iron deficiency anemia, rheumatoid arthritis, Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis, osteoporosis, multiple sclerosis, immune deficiencies, chronic infections, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and oncology-related conditions.
Provide hydration, immunotherapy, injections, and supportive infusion treatments for acute and chronic illnesses.
Perform patient assessments, including obtaining vital signs and interpreting laboratory results.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid response teams to enhance patient care.

Qualifications

Current California RN License
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
Oncology experience preferred
Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required

Skills

Proficient in adult nursing care
Experienced in dressing changes, venipuncture, and phlebotomy
Ability to manage infusions and provide patient education

Unit Details

Daily patient census: 18-24
Number of Rooms: 10
Number of Beds: 10
Patient Ratio: 3 patients per RN during daytime shifts

Additional Information

Weekend coverage may be required: 1-2 weekends per month, with an additional 1-2 hours as needed.
Pre-approved time off allowed for a maximum of 7 days.
Orientation hours: 24
