As a Consultant at HSG, you will serve as a key project leader responsible for understanding client issues & goals, organizing research plans, conducting in-depth analyses, managing junior Associates, and contributing to the overall success and direction of a rapidly growing company. You will be exposed to a broad range of private equity and middle-market clients across multiple industries. Compensation consists of salary and substantive bonus program competitive with leading strategy consulting firms. Travel is minimal (less than 5%). Responsibilities As a Consultant, you will serve as a key project leader responsible for understanding client issues & goals, structuring research workstreams, conducting in-depth analyses, and guiding overall project strategies. Specifically, in this role you will: Lead major project objectives and occasionally own entire projects Understand client's goals, effectively work with teams, and "ask the right questions" to get at the heart of key project issues by drawing conclusions from our research Develop as a subject matter expert (SME) for client and internal team – serve as a "thought leader" within the firm Design research plans and conduct interviews with leading industry experts Execute analyses with both quantitative and qualitative data Structure and develop client PPT deliverables Effectively present sections of a deliverable to clients and field any questions pertaining to your area of oversight In many engagements, you will be managing a small team of junior Associates Participate in client development efforts such as proposal writing and scoping calls Provide development opportunities, mentorship, and training to other junior team members Qualifications Candidates must have at least 3 years of directly relevant experience (i.e., strategy consulting firm, strategic planning / corporate strategy / corporate development group, or private equity / venture capital / investment banking firm) Bachelor’s degree with demonstrated academic excellence Deep strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities Strong research (primary and secondary) skills Strong quantitative and analytic skillsli> Effective written and verbal communication skills Strong presentation development and writing skills in PowerPoint and Word Extremely organized and detail oriented Proactive self-starter with an intellectual curiosity Ability to multitask and work in a time-sensitive (short deadline) environment Experience or interest in managing a small team #J-18808-Ljbffr Highland Strategy Group
