Overview
Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech, Cardiac/Vascular specialty, Lawrenceville, Georgia, United States. Start date: 10/12/2026. Assignment length: 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 2,252 to 2,402 USD. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 4 days per week, 10 hours per day. This travel assignment occurs in a hospital-based diagnostic imaging setting. No local candidates within 50 miles will be considered.

Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive echocardiography studies for cardiac and vascular indications, including transthoracic exams and other assigned imaging as per protocol.
- Acquire high-quality 2D, Doppler, and, when qualified, advanced echocardiography data; prepare images and preliminary findings for interpretation by the supervising physician.
- Position patients, explain procedures, ensure comfort and safety, and maintain infection control and equipment precautions.
- Document study results, organize images, and communicate essential information to the interpreting cardiologist or radiologist per department guidelines.
- Maintain equipment calibration, troubleshoot common abnormalities, and adhere to AHA BLS guidelines and department safety standards.
- Support holiday coverage requirements and adapt to schedule variations as assigned.

Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional experience within the Cardiac/Vascular ultrasound specialty.
- Credentials: An appropriate credential in echocardiography (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer [RDCS] from ARDMS; Registered Cardiac Sonographer [RCS] or RCCS from CCI; Cardiac Sonography credential such as CRCS or ACS from CCI; or equivalent). RVT credential is required or considered the appropriate vascular credential.
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- Travel eligibility: This is a travel assignment; no local candidates within 50 miles will be considered.
- Licensure: Licensure requirements are not specified in the posting; credentialed echocardiography certification meets the noted requirements.
- Setting: Ability to work in a hospital-based diagnostic imaging environment and to participate in holiday coverage as described.
