Job Description: The primary responsibility of this role is to support the Powertrain Testing - Lab Operations function at the Client's site. Reporting to the Manager of Operations – Central Lab Ops, the person in this role will support the Powertrain Testing department's objective to ensure testing readiness. What you'll be doing Test Execution: engine, powertrain, or vehicle chassis dynamometers and emission analyzers. Compliance Validation: Verify test results against Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) and certification procedures (such as FTP, HWFE, and US06). Data Analysis: Analyze emission outputs, particulate matter (PM), and fuel economy data to optimize engine performance. Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment or vehicle anomalies in controlled test cells and environmental chambers Support on site teams to ensure facilities are supporting current and new R&D activities. Battery Development & Testing at new Battery Lab Facility Prototype Development Powertrain Testing Full Vehicle Component Level Purchasing IT & Security Provide Engineering Support for Powertrain Testing Operations Oversee and resolve problems associated with R&D testing equipment. Support daily operations and problem solve those issues and develop countermeasures Requirements: What you bring Education: A bachelor's degree in engineering. Technical Knowledge: Understanding of propulsion systems, CFR Emission Testing Requirements, Software/Tools: Proficiency with data acquisition tools (Panel 4, ETAS or Hioki) and modeling platforms What you may bring Professional Engineering License (PE) Proficiency in reading electrical and mechanical prints
