Production Supervisor – 1st Shift Sioux Center, Iowa, United States Job ID 77814 Job Category Production Date posted 01/15/2026 Summary The Production Supervisor’s primary responsibility is to provide day‑to‑day leadership and direction to the production team. The Production Supervisor ensures the staff achieves required production and quality standards in a safe manner, and promotes and maintains positive working relationships with the production group. This position ensures timely and cost‑efficient production and distribution of company products. The role has the authority to make day‑to‑day decisions based upon established policy and procedures. Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities Ensure products are run in the proper order, completed on time, and rotated properly; maintain detection equipment and track packaging materials. Meet all facility operational plans, yield, throughput, maximum line efficiency, and quality requirements. Implement processes to reduce turnover, improve safety results, and create an environment that makes the facility the employer of choice. Provide continuous training to improve the skill set of hourly production associates. Develop new ideas and methods to improve operational performance, product quality, and customer reliability. Support and promote the company’s annual People, Products, and Profitability goals through effective planning, communication, and emphasis on efficiency. Monitor and sign off on associate timecards, manage breaks, and enforce disciplinary actions when necessary. Maintain required educational qualifications or equivalent experience. Experience Requirements Previous supervisory experience with a proven track record demonstrating ability to lead people and achieve results. Ability to think ahead and plan over a 1 to 3 year time span. Ability to develop, organize, deploy, and complete multiple protocols or projects on schedule. Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills at the strategic and functional levels. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all organizational levels. Computer literacy with skills in Microsoft Office. Willingness to travel to other facilities and plants for meetings and/or company business. Bilingual: Spanish/English preferred but not required. May need to move light equipment or supplies, access files, and handle equipment regularly. Work Environment Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors with metal and plastic grating surfaces. Temperature range between 28°F and 100°F with 100% humidity. Product handling temperature range 25°F to 50°F. Noise exposure ranges from 50 dB to 110 dB. Exposure to chemicals used in pork and food processing. Must wear and use protective and safety equipment as directed by the Company. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders.
