Job Summary Presbyterian is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. As an RRT, you will play a crucial role in assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary disorders. Your expertise and dedication will help improve patient outcomes and enhance their quality of life. Responsibilities Assist physicians with bronchoscopy procedures under departmental policy including monitoring and assessment of level of consciousness, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems; delivery of IV conscious sedation agents such as opioids, benzodiazepines and sedative-hypnotics and their reversal agents. Initiate ventilator protocols; implement and coordinate ventilator management. Perform advanced airway care to include tracheotomy changes, extubating, and intubation. Initiate and monitor high-frequency ventilators. Perform department-specific functions as detailed within the summary of the department-specific duties. Other duties as assigned. Optional procedures: transport team, intubation, and backup charge therapist. Initiate and monitor nitric oxide delivery. In NICU, perform surfactant delivery, intubation, and assist high-risk deliveries. Qualifications Associate Degree in Respiratory Therapy Respiratory Therapy certification (NBRC, Respiratory Care Practitioner, NMBLS, ACLS and/or PALSA) Six months to one-year of critical care experience preferred.
