Field Technician

Job Description

Job Description

Who We Are

At Octane Environmental, we exist to take on the toughest environments and deliver when it matters most. We bring relentless execution, uncompromising safety, and battle-tested solutions to biogas, oil & gas, industrial cleaning, and beyond. We don't cut corners. We don't back down. We build, contain, clean, and respond with discipline and grit — protecting people, safeguarding operations, and raising the standard in every field we enter.

We rise to pressure. We perform in the critical moments.

The Opportunity

Field Technicians are the skilled backbone of Octane's containment crews — operating specialized welding and seaming equipment that demands precision and a trained hand. If you've got the experience and can run the tools — this is your next step.

Precision work. Real accountability.

Core Responsibilities

- Operate containment equipment — Liester heat gun, Wedge Welder, and Extruder

- Execute geomembrane seaming, patching, and installation to specification

- Maintain PEC, OSHA 10, and all customer-specific safety certifications

- Demonstrate consistent reliability — punctuality, work ethic, and job readiness

- Complete job tasks with minimal supervision and oversight

What We're Looking For

- Minimum 1 year industry experience required to be considered

- Demonstrated proficiency with containment-specific or field labor equipment

- Reliability and consistent work ethic — shows up ready every day

- Active PEC Safety Certification and OSHA 10, or willingness to obtain

- Ability to work independently and complete jobs to standard

What Sets You Apart

- Hands-on experience with Wedge Welder, Extruder, or Liester

- Understanding of geomembrane materials and proper installation techniques

- Reputation as a go-to crew member who gets the job done right

- Willingness to mentor and bring up less experienced team members

Compensation

$17–$20/hour based on experience and field certifications. Opportunity to grow with a company gaining traction in the Oil & Gas, Biogas/RNG, and Industrial Cleaning markets.

Why Octane

We are not a sit-back company. We are building something in the Oil & Gas, Renewable Energy, and Industrial Cleaning space — and we're looking for people who want to be part of it.

If you're looking to just clock in — this isn't it.

If you want to build, lead, and grow — let's talk.

We provide complete solutions across the full project lifecycle – from site containment and tank systems to cleaning, maintenance, and operational support.

Octane Environmental delivers integrated field services across containment systems, tank solutions, and industrial cleaning applications. From site preparation and system installation to ongoing maintenance and operational support, we help keep energy and industrial operations running safely and efficiently.
