Receptionist

This role provides front desk support at laboratory locations by welcoming guests, checking in patients, and ensuring accurate administrative and clerical processing. You will serve as the first point of contact, helping visitors navigate the check-in process while maintaining organized records and supporting daily office operations.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and guests in a professional and friendly manner upon arrival.
• Check in patients efficiently and accurately, following established procedures.
• Verify patient insurance information and ensure all required details are complete and correct.
• File documents and maintain organized records in accordance with office standards.
• Provide general front desk and administrative support to ensure smooth daily operations.
• Answer questions and direct patients or visitors to the appropriate area or staff member as needed.
• Handle basic clerical tasks such as managing paperwork, forms, and other front office documentation.

Essential Skills

• Minimum 1 year of experience in a receptionist or administrative role.
• Proven experience providing front desk support in a professional environment.
• Ability to perform administrative and clerical tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Comfort working in a medical or healthcare-related setting.
• Strong attention to detail when verifying insurance and handling documents.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills for interacting with patients and guests.
• Ability to stay organized and manage multiple tasks in a busy front desk environment.

Work Environment

This is a front desk role in a laboratory setting where you will work on-site at various lab locations. You will spend most of your time at the reception area, interacting directly with patients and guests while performing administrative and clerical tasks. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sioux Falls, SD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $22.00/hr.
