Dental Assistant

We are a family-owned practice located in the heart of historic downtown Franklin. Great location! We are looking for someone that wants to join our team to contribute while learning and growing your dental assistant skills.

Dental Assistant Tasks:

- Prepare patient, sterilize and disinfect instruments, set up instrument trays, clean rooms, prepare materials, assist dentist during dental procedures

- Record treatment information in patient records

- Take and record medical and dental histories and blood pressure of patients

- Provide post-operative instructions prescribed by dentist and schedule follow up appointments

- Assist dentist in management of medical or dental emergencies

- Scan patients arches for crowns, bridges, veneers, nightguards, clear aligners and dentures

- Fabricate temporary restorations, apply materials for whitening procedures

- Order and monitor dental supplies and equipment inventory

- Clean and restock operatories

General Activities:

- Attend bimonthly staff meetings

- Provide superior customer service - answer patient inquires, greet patients and visitors

- Other duties as assigned by dentist and team

Minimum Requirements:

- Registered Dental Assistant

- Familiar with Henry Schein Dentrix software – including billing and records management

- Strong social skills, with the ability to connect with team members and patients

- Energetic, patient-focused, problem-solving and growth mindset
