Excess Line Insurance Professional

Join a respected organization at the center of New York's excess line insurance marketplace. In this role, you will help ensure insurance documents are reviewed accurately, processed efficiently, and compliant with ELANY requirements and New York law. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented insurance professional who enjoys analytical work, regulatory precision, and contributing to a team that supports brokers across the state.

What You'll Do:

• Review incoming insurance documents for accuracy, completeness, and acceptability;
• Determine appropriate coverage and classification codes;
• Verify that insurers are eligible for stamping in New York State;
• Identify items that require additional information, correction, or return to the broker;
• Communicate with brokers to obtain clarification or supporting information when needed;
• Correct minor clerical errors on affidavits with broker consent;
• Assign proper suspense codes for returned unstamped batch items;
• Stamp documents that meet ELANY requirements and New York excess line laws;
• Process and stamp documents accurately while meeting production guidelines.

What We're Looking For:

• At least two (2) years of property and casualty insurance experience preferred;
• Familiarity with excess/surplus lines documentation and terminology preferred;
• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with compliance-focused documentation;
• Ability to perform complex mathematical calculations related to insurance premium percentages;
• Clear, professional verbal communication skills and the ability to follow up effectively with brokers.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary range of $60,000–$65,000, based on experience level;
